Oil spray can, industrial rubber band and custom safety pin
8-1/2 x 3 in (21,6 x 7,6cm)
This improvised oil can/hand grenade was designed as a protesting tool in response to the 2010 British petroleum oil spill. The concept follows the 80s tradition of animal rights activists throwing oil on people wearing fur as an act of protest.
The spray cap of the oil can is held pressured down by an industrial rubber band; by pulling the safety ring the can immediately starts shooting oil.
