As part of a Japanese ecological design competition, Chileans Diego Almeyda and Sebastian Errazuriz worked hard to come up with a design that would beat their colleagues. Sebastian explains : « We were just two young kids from Chile. We had no money, and figured there was no way we could do better renderings or maquettes than the Japanese, so the only chance we had to win was to think outside of the box.

After much thought, it occurred to the pair that the ultimate eco-friendly proposal would involve resisting the urge to design, instead presenting « Nothing at all ». NADA DE NADA was presented at an art gallery in Santiago, which was transformed into a small supermarket for the occasion. The two designers sold over 1,000 « Nothings » to people with nothing better to do.
