The concept behind Sebastian ErraZuriz’s sculpture Plan B is born from American TV action series and old James Bond movies that the artist loved as a child. The characters in these programs were always confronted with impending death, yet somehow managed to devise last minute escape plans that would save them from their inevitable end.

Helicopters, motorboats, motorcycles and other vehicles would carry the heroes away from sudden death inside exploding islands, burning fortresses, and rocket launch centers hidden in volcanos. The black helicopter stationed over the funeral hearse humors the childhood fantasy of a secret plan B and an impossible escape from death.
