Unlike most furniture pieces, Delta Chair is born from blocks of compressed plywood, which are then carefully hand-carved and sculpted to achieve the final shape. In a similar way to a sculptor confronting a block of stone, the woodworker removes material until the structure of the chair begins to appear.

The design attempts to give the impression of lightness while concealing internal areas that provide the structural backbone and give the chair its rigidity.
