The Shit Show Chandelier is the latest and most spectacular iteration of Sebastian Errazuriz’s beloved Bird Chandelier. The traditional crystal lamp is surrounded with a swarm of sculptural birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. The 100 birds and insects counter-balance the presence of the shiny crystals with their shapes and colors.

Almost as fragile and delicate as the glass pieces themselves, these fantastic creatures have made the chandelier their home. The Bird Chandelier was inspired by a lamp at Sebastian’s grandmother’s house, where occasionally birds flew in through the windows, perched on the lamp, and at times, unfortunately, got injured or died when trying to fly out through a closed window.
